Public speaking as a kid,
Would never have happened.
Growing up I would say,
Speaking for five friends, no way!

Life goes on, speaking comes back,
I want to improve; I try…
Not bad, I’m glad it’s over.
I hoped that was it, no more.

Oakton comes, class required,
Teacher’s name looks familiar.
I try the class, I was right!
I know him; he’s a great guy.

Though I had a rocky start,
He’s a man pure of heart.
Why go to a speak easy?
When your class made Speech Easy…
